Update Available

Congratulations, you have a KODAK Portrait 3D printer with which you can make premium quality pieces, whether they are final models or prototypes.

If you want to maximize the benefits using Cloud 3D cloud management, you will need to upgrade your software from version 3.5 to version 4.0 or higherLearn here all the benefits of managing your prints with the Cloud 3D Print cloud system.

For more information on cloud printing, be sure to read our article “Using the Cloud”.

NOTE: If you do not require the use of the cloud you can start using your KODAK Portrait 3D Printer without upgrading.

These instructions are only for printers with versions 3.5 and higher.

⚠ Caution: Do not force the upgrade to printers with SW version lower than 3.5, as this may cause permanent damage to the equipment.

Upgrade your KODAK Portrait printer from version 3.5 to 4.0 or higher.

To upgrade your printer you will need to download a program that will run from a Windows computer (download link below). From that application you will be able to download a .zip file directly to a USB flash drive, then connect that flash drive to your KODAK Portrait printer and follow the steps below.

We recommend doing the update with the KODAK Portrait printer connected via Ethernet to the Internet provider’s modem, this guarantees a more stable connection than wireless (wifi) connections.

Updating without risk! In case of problems during the upgrade you can always recover the operating system of your KODAK Portrait printer. For an emergency recovery follow these steps.

Warning Do not disconnect the printer from any network during the upgrade.
Make sure that the Internet connection does not use a firewall.
